If I can afford 1gpbs plan of any ISP, I could be rich enough to afford a highend dedicated router with lot more features than what's provided in dual-band ONU by Jio. It is actually worth spending for a dedicated router and configure it to our wish, than going after Jio to provide certain features. Jio is here to snoop us. It is recommended to buy a dedicated router and use VPN or something else to protect our privacy.

Let me explain you few things which might help you to understand Dual Band from Jio should be by default and not to be forced upon consumer to buy third-party.

1. Jio aims to build Gigabit Network.
2. They should be giving router which is 5Ghz by default. 2.4Ghz should be given only to those who are or may opt for any plan less than 100Mbps.
3. I own Asus's Dual Gigabit Gaming Routers already which costed me 20K.

But, Why am I denying their connection with Single Band? I am or might pay 4K per month minimum for 1Gbps connection.

4K per month for Single Band?

Who is Crazy: Jio for giving Single Band for 4K a month Consumer or Me asking for Dual Band if I opt for 4K a month Plan?

Justify your stance now.

STOP COMPROMISING. It is because of our compromising nature only that they sold all of you and me a Gigabit Connection with Single Band Router where they removed 1:1 Ratio.

What that Ambani Girl said in Keynote:

1. Gigabit Connection
2. Dual Band Router
3. 1:1 Download and Upload.
4. Revolutionary Pricing. (My Foot, Hathway their own subsidiary gives Unlimited FUP with 100Mbps in half of the price).

I am sure, Millions of people would be shouting like hell if something like this Apple would have done. (Claimed something, Gave something else)

If you don't force Jio for 1:1, I am sure Airtel will follow the same lead.

P.S.: Please if someone here don't think 1:1 should be implemented, don't even think of quoting me. First understand what Fiber connection is. And, How it is different from ADSL. If you are okay with 1:10 on a FTTH Connection? Sorry, But I don't think you are in 21st Century or moving towards 2020s.

It is irritating from Jio at first that they removed 1:1 Ratio and then it becomes a lot irritating when people start supporting that move.

As if, 1:1 was free and you are paying for 1:10. DumbDude, You are paying for 1:1 but they are selling you 1:10.

If you support 1:10. My advice to you: Go to BSNL or some cheap LCO connection. Don't pay premium price and 2.5K or something like that for a FTTH connection. You should be good with ADSL connection.

They started giving dual band ONT now. They are rushing to gain money that's why these problems are arising. Launching services without proper billing systems 🤣🤣🤣

Already Sent! I am ain't supporting this FAKE REVOLUTIONARY FTTH Move in India. It is Fake!

I am fedup now. I can't take this anymore. I am rather happy on Airtel now but I choose not to get scammed anymore.

Their move towards 1:10 is all because their stupid infrastructure might not handle that. There is no claim they can make to justify their any move.

Bhai. How smart of them. They gave free-preview for 100 Mbps Up Down, meanwhile content creators made videos and posts about it.

Now they smartly without any information to public. They made it 100 Download and 10 Upload.

People are buying that connection. Because avg. user complains about Slow Speed when they notice slow speed in Download. Not for Upload.

We should complaint to TRAI for them to strictly make Jio mention 10 Upload. (or 10% of Download Speed as Upload)

I thank GeekyRanjit for posting this about this in public (even if sugar money stopped coming even though, I hardly believe he got anything to promote JioFiber at first).

We or this forum together has no voice. But his single tweet generated too much viewership of the JioFiber's reality.

My apology if my views offended anyone. I don't have Jio 4g or fiber for reasons that can take multiple hours just to write down. If I ever have / had Jio, it is only for testing or as a secondary connection.

I used to have 5mbps ADSL connection from BSNL that had a cap of 785kbps in upload speed. So, i can survive with anything better.

@gomfi do you remember minimum call ring time set by jio ? Trai fixed minimum duration of 30 seconds which jio wanted. Like that if we raise 1:1 speed issue they will publish consultation paper and fix minimum 1:10 ratio should be provided, in favour of Jio.
