Any insider news or rumors? They launched Jio Fiber on 5th September 2019 so it's gonna be their 1 year anniversary. They also officiallly launched Jio itself on 5th of September 2016. Do you think they would upgrade it or do you think they are just going to provide some lame extra GBs for the month of September?

I don't think any changes will going to happen as they are still in the process of growing their reach.

Plans are not that bad in my opinion. Calculate your total costs incurred into Broadband, TV viewing through DTH, OTT subscription cost (if any) and Landline connection (if any). All these costs when you put together must be higher than the cost you should be paying for Jio Fiber.
They are providing all this together by taking a consolidated amount of around ₹1000/month (if you consider Silver plan), which will definitely be somewhat cheaper.

Prices and plans can be revised, there is no harm in it. And if they really want to spread their reach aggressively, they should do it to attract more customers.

Jiofiber can attract more users from urban areas than rural areas where the dth is still there where most of the people will not be willing to switch for the sake of it.also ott s have not penetrated that much into rural areas . Their main focus will be on cheap plans with higher fup. Qos will not be that much prority for them. I think

I think they already knew they have shitty fiber plans so they are gonna change. Do u guys think Jio fiber will provide affordable unlimited fup plans in future ? Microsoft already confirmed that they partnered with Jio to bring xcloud (cloud gaming) to India.. They have to right!?.. They need to have unlimited fup to work xcloud on Jio. No one really cares about xcloud if they don't have unlimited fup ...

What Qos ? Anyone working from home needs more FUP and most important thing UPLOAD speed, jio is only good if you don't have other options.

Only their 199+gst plan makes sense for heavy users or who don't want to constantly check their FUP. limit. Rest of their plans are for casual users with some much crap combined.

For gamers who are well considered the 'premium' users their routing is not really that good and games like GTA online have connectivity problems. Also the size of game updates have become massive their FUP is too low just to keep things updated.

Then cherry on top is their DPI and locked router.

Does anybody have any idea why jio is the only one tier 1 isp to cap the uploads. I mean does they have any specific reason to do so..

I am also curious about this. Why do they not disclose about the upload cap in the plans itself? a lot of people opt for fiber and only later finds out. Why are they not in trouble for this? and, Why is this allowed?
