Reliance JioFi 2 commercially launched

I just got JIOFI2 yesterday and the guys at Reliance Digital asked me to wait for 24 hours for activation. What kinda speeds are everyone getting? Also I was told I should do verification from the jio sim by dialling to a number post which it should be activated. Now, does this also mean that it is not limited to usage only in the JioFi2 router and can I use a activated JIO sim in my iPad too?
 
i think its not locked to imei. because i got a free sim with s7 edge and its now working with jio fi 2

same for me too. till now tried to register with 3 different email never got the jio id

Thats what I assumed too but the RD guy asked me to put the sim in a mobile phone first, activate it by calling a number and then put it in the Jiofi2 router. If thats the case it should work fine on any device right?
 
JioFI2/LYF SIMs are locked ,not the Samsung ones..
And you don't need a JioFi/LYF device for televerification...
It's the Preview offer(90days Unlimited) which needs a LYF/JIOFI device to work..
 
I have activated my sim in s7 edge. After 1day i been using it with jiofi 2

dont know if they will work with other mobiles or not. i think they only work with samsung, LG and jiofi mobiles
 
Samsung SIMs will work on any mobile having LTE and to be able to call and send SMS from your phone you would need a VoLTE enabled phone or you just need to download Jio4GVoice app to be able to call and send SMS
 
The LYF and JioFi SIMs will only have the offer valid on LYF or JioFi devices respectively. The SIMs you get using the Samsung offer will have the offer valid on all devices. The JioFi is network locked to Jio.

To activate the JioFi2 SIM you can do any of the following:
- Put the SIM in any 4G (band 3, 5 or 40) device and dial 1977 (VOICE + DATA)
- Put the SIM in the JioFi2 device, download Jio4GVoice onto any phone, connect the phone to the JioFi2 Wifi, open Jio4GVoice and register. Then call 1977 (VOICE + DATA) or 1800-890-1977 (DATA) using Jio4GVoice.

There are no other methods that currently work.
