Reliance #JioFiber overtakes You Broaband, ACT next?

I don't know why 'You' guys are feeling outraged. It happens. Motabhai is gonna overtake everyone, including BSNL, in 18 months. Will overtake Airtel in 12 months.

The numbers are correct (as per TRAI website). You has only 7.5 lakhs.

While I understand the tendency to support the underdog, there's no point in denying the fact that Jio will dominate this sector just like it has dominated the wireless sector.

All across the world, wired broadband tends to be dominated by a handful of players. In India, the difference is that the backbone is often operated by a player like Tata, and the last mile by cable operators. That's why we have hundreds of ISPs.

Will these ISPs really be able to survive Jio? Depends on whether they get decent access to upstream from someone like Railwire or Airtel.

I checked 2-3 other articles on the site its all spam content probably to ride the jio news wave.
I follow this site because generally, they don't fall into the hype cycle. I remember they wrote an article exposing how Jio DTH was a fake story, when big publications like ET Telecom were carrying stories speculating about the launch of Jio DTH.

It is difficult for Jio broadband to expand in cities/ metro like Delhi.... These are free Preview service customer data...As soon as they start charging for their service, their customer base will vanish.

Wireless was altogether different thing, here they have to hire manpower to lay/ install/ maintain fiber and equipment....... And they will fail miserably, at present prevalent price of broadband service 50Mbps@500Rs.......

They might expand in C & D grade towns where there is no competition.

On top of it Ambani's have the least trust and worst reputation among all....... I would trust my local LCO more than Jio.

Such articles are only BJP style stunt to retain bhakt followers.

I am relatively happy with Jio fiber in Delhi NCR. Airtel vfiber was providing 40Mbps before. That was enough but 100 is better. Airtel has fiber right next door but not in our building. So until Airtel brings in real fiber, I would be ok with Jio as long as the service remains reliable. Paying around 1000 to 1200 per month for say 250Mbps is fine if you can get at least 500Gb data per month. Hopefully they will introduce some introductory discount along with extra data beyond what is already in their plans.
