jio can only gain monopoly if the existing players fail to challenge them. there is only so much that they can do with government's help.

Not all users are known of all facts mate... I spend time in a mobile shop there already 10 users enroled for jio phone yesterday myself booked 4 from my jio money wallet for the shop owner as he has orders .. and most doest know these facts mate

if people choose to be ignorant, it is not jio's fault. the flaws of the phone are in public domain. i am not sure if they have revealed all the terms and conditions for getting a refund though.

I said trying to do not they have gained .. this jio phone will take active users of many other providers for a period of 3years which will create a lot of mnp from others ..

and no one is forcing them to buy jio phone but jio havent clearly mentioned all infos like phone quality needed for refund after 3yrs etc.. which is misleading.. no doubt jio has best plans in market now but they are not clear even distributors are also not sure for frc and return policy as of now..they said book phone all details will be given on sept..

why jio pre booking is started when there are no clear information regarding it

people are not going to migrate their existing numbers to this phone. jiophone is most likely going to be used as a second phone. as a burner phone. use and throw kind of phone. sure a small segment of people might end up using it as their primary phone. but that would largely end up relying upon how stable their network remains. i am yet to find any service provide who is exclusively using jio on his phone. i am talking about people like plumbers, electricians and carpenters whose livelihood depend upon getting calls from potential customers.

i checked with my electrician. he has a vodafone sim i believe. he says his monthly expense is just around 175 rupees as most of the calls are incoming. he has no need for a jiophone like device. jio has already killed the market for such a phone by driving the prepaid AND postpaid plans to such low levels. he does want to buy a 4g dongle for his son. but says that smartphones are useless for his purpose.

yes thats correct earlier 1gb data would have costed 250rs maybe more and for outgoing unlimited I myself used 800rs idea unlimited plan which is now a lot cheaper as 399 for 3mnths with 1gb per day..

jio has indeed made all calling and data dirt cheaper than it used to be.. no doubt in that..

The thing I said is jio phone is as you also said cannot be used as primary phone it should be used as burner phone ..thats the point ..

mean while jio calling and data speed also improved a lot in these days where as airtel calling got worse in my area.. (I use airtel postpaid cug and jio prepaid both)

I was trying to book JIO phone and I got to a page where they asked for phone number and pin code they asked, I provided the details then I did payment of 500Rs. but just after payment confirmation of bill desk page during redirection JIO website didn't respond ending up getting connection timed out now without any proof or payment confirmation from JIO side nor any message. Now I am getting a feeling that I might have filled the mobile number wrongly. What to do as JIO cc Executives don't have any idea about the issue.

charge back from bank.. else see if the amount is deducted then ask for chargeback with reference number from jio or bank

Yes, The amount is deducted if the charge back happens then its good but if it doesn't then I just don't have voucher number to claim JIO phone pre booking.
