Reliance Netconnect Broadband plus: Is it worth it?

Two friends of mine got this Reliance Netconnect Broadband plus, lately.I was given the offer to get this datacard for Rs1300I checked the download speed and found it to be 685 kbps What do you think, it worth the price? Consider the available tariffs too.

Only 685kbit/s? In that case, it's only advantage would be mobility. If you don't need this, there are better options available for less price.

Ya, I tried changing the connection mode to HSD then Hybrid. But, the speed was nothing more than 70-75kBps while downloading an 8MB file. I mean not even 1mbps :/ Thanks for the reply.P.s What are the other options available in less price, I was wondering and no I don't require mobility

For starters: MTNL Broadband - 512k or 1mbit/s unlimited for 599 and 999 respectively

@Samm - your post is a bit confusing. You have mentioned Rs 1300/- as payment for the datacard. This sounds like a onetime payment. You have not mentioned the tariff. However, I think mgcarley has assumed that Rs 1300/- is the monthly charge.

I thought that was the tariff for Reliance Netconnect+ - I haven't checked it in a while but that is roughly what it used to be.

Upon checking the website Reliance Netconnect, the data card is Rs2300 - they do have 2 tariffs at around Rs1300 with usage limits of about 10GB or so....

Yes, it is worth as speed is decent and if you buy prepaid, then you can use it for free. No monthly charges. I posted method here

Sorry for the confusing post, actually Rs 1300 is the cost of datacard.
The tariffs are weird otherwise I would have purchased one for me already.
