Renault Duster

Anyone bought it? My dad wants to buy this one...

From what I hear do not go for the less powerful engine option. It is supposed to be have well very little power for the size of the vehicle.

I test drove it couple of days ago and above observations are bang on.
If you go for test drive look carefully at chrome inserts on inside door handles they are so cheap that it did not look like a 13-14lakh car but a chinese knock off of it.
I drove the lesser power engine and power was okish for city travel

This car has taken a beating after ecosport was launched last month. Terrano may make matters worse.

Right. Nissan and Renault have the same parent company. It does not matter what you purchase. You get two exterior options for the same car!

They keep salivating about Dacia cars on Top Gear so I presume there will be some redeeming quality in it.

Right Dacia is third brand from the same company. Just focused on India and Africa.

of course I know they are the same company. the price difference! Sunny costs almost 80k less than scala. That's almost like vw and skoda. Also at least to me the looks of Terrano look much better.

Took the Diesel one for a test drive today. Loved it, especially coming from the Micra. We might go for the Petrol RXL Plus variant but dunno as of now... Nice car, this Duster.
