Any Progress here ? How is G Broadband holding up currently ?

G broadband is still a bad option. I had requested for a new connection which was promised in 2 days , no response from Mani or anyone . Always has some or the other excuse to not provide the connection. After 2 weeks of calling him 4-5 times a day he gave back the advance he took.

Let me know if anyone is aware of any new broadband providers. Presently having bsnl which is giving problems regularly :whew:

hi, I am a new member here on this Forum, but I have been using G Broadband (I stay at Deepak Layout located at the 8th phase) for past one year and a few months and have had mixed reactions actually. Off late they have been very poor in service. The new speeds are on the face of it very mouth watering and so are the tariffs but the speed is woeful and there is proper resolution of these problems. Unfortunately the lack of any effective competition makes G Broadbad a virtual monopoly player. Unless we are able to convince Airtel and/ or ACT to lay cables here, it would be next to impossible to get a decent broadband here. The OFC cables which were laid recently were exclusive to the Nandini Layout and not for the general residents at J.P.Nagar.

This has been a pain in this part of JP nagar (7th and 8th phase). I have been using City Broadband which is really intolerable and inconsistent.

The worst part is i have got a Airtel switch just fixed opposite to my house. Despite raising the issue several times and to several high officials, my request for new connection could not be taken because they claim that the box cannot have any further connection.

Please let me know if anyone finds any of the broadband reliable and consistent!

Hello Folks,
I have recently shifted to B'lore from HYD and currently located at JP Nagar 8th phase.
I was using Beam in Hyderbad with 15MBPS speed and was surprised and shocked to see that a good residential area like this is with out any good ISP.
I am currently surviving on MTS 999 plan with peanuts speed.

We should really do something about it.
Should we collectively send a letter signed to airtel or start an online petition such as Change.org · The world’s platform for change
I want to part of it!

Hi Someshwar, where did you see the OFC work happening? Maybe i can try and figure it out... and also where in 8th phase do you stay, I mean atleast a land mark if not the entire address. I am planning to make a list of people who are interested in internet connections in this area so that I can submit a letter to Airtel to look at providing connection in this area. also i am checking with local cable operators

Hi guys one of my friend got an highspeed fiber broadband recently and the service is also very good and i think they r the local franchise by name prateek network solutions maybe u all should try this.
