Well, I took it to the Reliance store, and they said that the modem MEID was not present in their database, and hence they had no way of retrieving the number. Then I asked if they could convert it to a new number, and they said that was not possible. Then I asked them to unlock it from their network, and they said they could not do that either. I asked for a refund on the cost of the modem, since it could not be used at all, and they said they could not do that also. I made a scene in the store, but could not get anything done. Bunch of chutiyas.
I have been trying to unlock the modem, so that I can use it with some other network. The SIM tray has been removed by them, so I will have to weld on a new one. But I have been unsuccessful at unlocking the modem or flashing on a new firmware. Any help will be appreciated.
