3G speed is awesome here @ my place in Pune, MH. I just tried a BSNL 3G prepaid SIM on my friend's Nokia 5230.Call rates are obviously cheapest. Customer care is almost non-existent. What else can I say?Go for TATA DOCOMO instead of BSNL if you don't need 3G.
One thing that i know that the STD service and the ISD service are by default activated at the time of taking the Sim card connection. So,i can make a local call, STD call or an international call immediately after going for a BSNL Cellone sim card.
Both STD and ISD comes pre-activated in prepaid. But in postpaid you need to specify at the same of application along with security deposit.
Can i trust bsnl as im frequently roaming, and i dont want any network busy notification on making calls or if someone is trying to call me and hears the phone no. is not available.. , coz in bsnl its the main problem, or it has upgraded its network and there is less network congestion now ???
@anubhav, if u roam into some of the remote places and not big cities, then BSNL is the best. when i traveled to Kodaikanal, otty, munnar, coorg, only BSNL worked all along . other operators only worked in main cities, not in ghat roads
