hi, guys i am reposting this new thread as i dint get correct replies from u people ,,Guys me & my roomee plannin 2 buy new internet broadband as planned earlier will go 4 a night unlimeted plan 4 rs 550 i guess,,So i want u guys 2 guide me that which modem i shud go for so that both of our laptops get connected ??Are there ny modems which can offer 2 LAN's or 1LAN & 1 USB connectivity,,will Wifi be a better option for me ??
1 more last thing are there ny new revolutionary plans coming up so that it can beat this night unlimited plan

I really don't seem to be able to understand what you want. In any case, A wifi modem is not dependent upon your ISP or plan. It will work with any ISP/Plan. Therefor that should not be an issue. why don't you go for an unlimited plan if available in your area?

sorry boss 4 larger text ,, i dint know that Wifi works with normal ISP plans ,, wen i checked Wifi plans they mean that i hav to go to Wimax plans only ,,is there any diff b/w wimax plans and normal broadband plans ,,i am just a beginner 4 all these hope u will be mentor 4 me

WiMax is simply broadband where in last mile connectivity is done wirelessly.
What a wifi router does is that it takes your existing connections(wimax or wired) Ethernet cable(the one that looks kike a wider telephone cable) and tranmits the data wirelessly and also has an additional 4 lan ports.

i want to buy router but i don't have any idea on how to set them up.

It's really straight forward . Most new routers(Any that you would buy) have a simple GUI and Usually can set up automatically.
Sometimes they may prompt for additional info such as user-name/password or IP address if applicable

please tell which one to buy? should come under 2500-300 bucks
so that if i have difficulty in setting up forum people can help me .
i want to connect ipod touch, Nokia 5800, Nintendo wii and laptop
i don't want to be in a situation where i won't be able to setup and it goes waste (happened once with a net gear router bought from US 3 yrs ago when i took mtnl connection ,even mtnl guys couldn't set it up returned it)
