Ridiculous explanation for low speeds, MTNL

I have the 450 Rs plan and I am suppose to get 512 Kbps in day time, 1 Mbps in evening and 2 Mbps in night. But the downstream in my modem has been set to around 391 Kbps which is low. I asked MTNL on 1504 and they give me ridiculous explanation that what I am getting is also more. I should not even get that. Stuck with almost 256 Kbps speeds here. Anyone has the direct technical department number, I believe there is one 5 digit number but I am not sure completely.

i guess everyone goes through this with bsnl and mtnl. i got a 4mbps plan and my line speed was set at 3999 i think. took quite a yelling to get them to double it so that i can at least touch 4mbps sometimes. made connection a bit unstable but speeds are usually decentish.

Write an email to GM broadband. That usually works.

it is quite decent actually. i no longer have to keep track of my data usage because i get around 7GB per day. on airtel i had to keep track to stay below 80% because of smartbytes redirections.

Keep trying this no. from 10AM-3PM. Its either busy or no answer but keep trying till u get thru........

Just tell them to rectify ur speed.

U will get speed chged within an hr frm ur cal. Has worked for me twice after chging plans.
