They do not understand that if they would have released the app officially then the traffic from the unreleased app would have decreased drastically and moreover they could have blocked the app easily by verification of signatures of the session from the server. They are best at messing the things up

The company does not deserve the PR it got for the launch and the failure of the launch. No one should give them any benefit of the doubt. The company is dying. There is no guarantee if BBM would survive the sale and breakup of Blackberry in the future.
Stick with what works for you. WhatsApp right now seems to have a longer shelf life than BBM.
I've successfully installed bbm on the launch date for iOS but most of my friends couldn't and now that it is no longer there in the AppStore for both iOS and android, it doesn't make sense to keep the app :S
