Well, he does not do all movies right - compared to the others? I am not sure. Maybe if there is enough interest he would.
Also I have seen everyone really toning their criticism down from the usual. Maybe they want to be polite? Or is the movie really that good

Regarding the criticism, I think it is because Hollywood has rarely seen movies where over-the-top and still spectacular action scenes have been mixed into a script that has drama and comedy in it. I mean sure the movie is probably cheesy, but they are still finding it enjoyable. At least I hope that's the case. It's not like Hollywood hasn't been critical of foreign language movies in the past.
