is there any problem with Kannada news channel samaya..its not available from past 3 months on hathway.and now replaced that channel with some other...is there any payment issue of samaya and hathway ?

Must be payment issue. Very common with hathway.

hmm ok..may be they pay to certain channels regulary so it wont get affected and some which were earlier FTA and now Pay channel it creates problem

Actually, new channels pay cable/DTH operators to be on their cable/DTH. May be Samaya stopped paying Hathway.

I hope you can answer my question, the signals in our area are weak. We are not getting all the channels. The signal strength is 65, would connecting an amplifier fix the issue?

Yes, getting an amplifier can sometimes solve the issue.
Also check if your cable has too many patches?

The main cable has a patch.
I inquired in Koti, they are selling Amplifier for 750 with 6 months Guarantee. I don't know whether it is worth. If you know any one who sell Amplifiers please pass on their address or any online shopping site.
The other houses in our locality are getting good signal only people in our street are getting weak signals, I have asked our LCO to install an amplifier but he is not doing that.
I have old hathway box which I bought 4 yrs ago which is now not working. I am planning to repair it and see if it could catch the signals as I heard old STB's doesn't need higher signal strength.
