Do you guys think it's cost cutting for inferior markets (according to samsung) or it's just that they don't have enough Snapdragon processor to cater the demand in better markets? I think it's the latter, if it's true, then if I was samsung I would be doing that too, india is not yet a fully developed market, and it's a game of statistics and not the game of emotions. I may be wrong though about availability of snapdragon, but it seems to be the case

Sorry mate, you sound like a Samsung apologist. I think India is very developed market because even though we have to pay 100% price upfront, we still see loads of people carrying Note 2 & 3. If EU and US do not have Carrier bundles, see how many people will buy these devices by paying full prices.
Even if Samsung had no option to sell Snapdragon variant here, they should have priced Exynos variant at 40000-42000. That would have been fair price. Not 49999.

They obviously have higher margins on Exynos based phones since they make the processor themselves while Snapdragon they have to license from Qualcomm. They assume (either correctly or incorrectly) that people in India don't care about the kind of processor present in the phone and so from a profit maximization perspective, it makes sense to sell the Exynos version here.

Yes.Most people don't care what's inside as long as they let other people know they're carrying note3. Makes sense from samsung side.
But Exynos kernals take a long time coming out and also exynos processors are known to cause heating problems ..so selling note 3 in india saying it can record at 4k whereas in reality it doesn't makes up for marketing fraud.

Absolutely, that's why I had bought the One X instead of the S3, codeworkx who used to develop and port Cyanogenmod extensively to Samsung devices was so frustrated by the lack of documentation and proper hardware support by Samsung that he stopped developing for Samsung completely. Honestly, unless you want their bloated software customization, there is no reason to buy a Samsung phone anymore. HTC makes much better looking and durable phones, Sony makes good developer friendly phones.

The only reason I bought my Note II was because of the battery. Even on AOSP the battery life is good. But yeah this is the last Samshit for me.

This is how it works:
1. Samsung considers the average Indian consumer to be a tad foolish.
2. Average Indian consumer goes by the phone's hyped ability to record 4K videos.
3. Sales people use the Snapdragon variant to make case in point.
4. Consumer gets half-baked version.
5. Samsung fails to realize that India probably has more tech-savvy people than the states.
6. Most of their phones lag like fuck.
Fuck you, Samsung.

The problem is most people buy samsung high end models ..see the touchwiz crap and they think entire android is like that and sing praises for iOS. Few of the more resourceful ones or girls use launchers to customise their homescreens/icons and are content with it . I've alone made 3 people buy nexus 7 tabs and one nexus 4 phone just because they used my tab and were amazed by pure stock jelly bean with couple of good icon packs.
Also I don't know how note 2/note 3's stylus is compactible with other custom ROMs.
To be frank, I've seen no lag on Note2 my friend uses ..but its ugly as hell. Spilt screen multitasking is cool feature though.

A few of their phones are an exception. The Note 2 was a pretty good phone, IMO.
However, I really take offense to Samsung presumably getting away with marketing fraud in India.
Fraud aside, paying full price for the cut-down version is a little demeaning.
The US faced a similar issue (albeit for different reasons) with the S3. They were sold the dual-core version because a quad-core design + LTE would have been too hard on the battery.
