S21 Fe did not come with the factory fitted protector. People say that it is not really a protector and you are supposed to remove it and install a proper protector. Here I am using my 2+ year old S10 Lite with the same plastic sheet that came out of the box and it has survived all kinds of abuse in that time period. It's practically invisible except for the scratches. I love it and would miss it in my next phone assuming I buy a Samsung.

They directly converted euro to inr. From previous releases prices are always lower than euro but higher than usd.

I just hope that they have decent launch card offers for the price to fall a bit :(

I am super confused on which one to go for - s22 ultra or iPhone 13 pro max.
Though am an all out android fan boy (only iphone that I have used is 7 plus for an year), but something inside me is pushing me to go back to iOS again. If am spending 1L+ on a phone, I want it for longevity.. Which you generally don't get from Androids. My normal phone change cycle is only about 1-1.5 years but that is because the performance goes down (android) significantly. iPhones last relatively longer and that's what is pushing me towards them.

My usage/expectations:
1. Need a top of the line camera system (mainly photos) (from the reviews so far, am very impressed with S22 cameras)
2. Phone should be buttery smooth
3. Not a gamer
4. Main usage: just like normal users - reddit, insta, emails, all office apps, etc.
5. Am deep into syncthing, Tasker, foldersync. But have found alternatives to these on ios.
6. Truecaller! Because of spams - Big negative for iphone here.
7. I find iphones boring.. But with increasing age, I have lost interest in customised roms, home screen customizations, etc.

Any guidance or suggestions would be welcome to ease my confusion.

I use a 12 Pro Max and it’s the first iPhone I ever used. Don’t think I’d ever go back to an Android, unless maybe a really nice Pixel. I didn’t like OneUI so that probably makes the decision easier for me. The biggest benefit I have seen with the iPhone camera is that there is very high consistency on the photo I will get. With the Samsung S10 I had, some photos were great but some were terrible.
If you do decide on s22, might be worth waiting a few months since Samsung phones tend to reduce in prices quicker than Apple.

When you say 'top of the line' camera system, you should also mention if you are into photography or videography.

iPhones are the best if you talk about video capture.
