@/members/dr_digital/The pay channels are encrypted by the MSO and any set top box will not work.Why not go for DTH ? Here In Chennai SunTV cable network STB is offered FREE and only setup Rs 400/= is charged.Usual free channels Rs 100 PM and additional payments for Pay channels.

I wanted to know the Cable Out option in STB will give the normal cable channels or the channels which i am receiving from STB. STB will work with both RF OUT and AV Cable or just AV CABLE ( AV CABLE = Yellow, White and Red). Please let me know
I do not think tunning is possible in CAS. Unlike DTH, here the signals are controlled by the Cable Operators and you wont be able to change the frequencies.. all are preset on the Cable station., so it is difficult to get the channels by manually entering the frequencies as you do not have controll over the satellites.
