could be some portforwarding problem. Let me check it in OE.
For Smtp 25 and POP3 110.
What exactly is the problem ? you cannot receive mail or send mail ?
In the meantime try eprompter from ePrompter Free eMail Notification Software
in both modes and reply.
PS: I will like to give the modem some rest !

Hello, Sorry for the late reply.I could identify the problem...WPA2-PSK is neither reliable on Vista nor on XP.With WPA-PSK the connection is good and reliable.Outlook also now works with modem set on bridge mode.
