The script for the pilot was written in 2016. AppleTV+ ordered the show in 2019 because everyone working on it was like, let's wait for a new company before we pitch it.
It took 3 years to shoot the show with (zero special effects, minimal post-production) and with just 9 episodes. Totally believable. I mean sure Covid slowed down by a year. So. okay.
But then in keeping with the tradition, the second season will be released again with 3-year gap in 2025 because obviously they are still traumatised by COVID.
6 years for 2 seasons. Not counting the 3 additional years when the guy sat on the pilot and didn't pitch it to any company.
