I have got D-Link's DSL-502T modem and I'm using it since I got my TriBand connection a month ago. From the day one I'm not able to connect to the net in the evening time (6 PM to 12 AM). The ADSL light keeps blinking and the status page of the modem shows 31 db as the Line Attenuation (upstream) during that time.
Today I called the lines-man and got the wiring checked from their junction box. He did some rewiring on a particular part of the line and the technical fellow who was testing the line using their equipment told that my line is okay now.
But still I could not connect to the net in the evening today. So I took my modem to one of my friend's house and checked there. The ADSL light was not even blinking there. He has a Chinese make modem and it was working pretty well at his place that time.
I can connect to the net only after midnight and the statistics shown at that time are:
Should I go for a new modem or call the lines-man again?
By the way I've noticed that DSL-502T doesn't have ADSL2+ type of modulation which that friend of mine uses. I use T1.413 modulation as others fail to connect to the net.
