yeap! there are some python scripts available online that can automate the process but the answer remains yes.

hey , reliance thunder plans came to my knowledge through broadbandforum .i called their CC .after waiting ,waiting they told me that this is available at my location. right now i am using BSNL 750UL. i am looking forward to take plan699 .even after going through the broadbandforum ,i can't understand the meaning of contention ratio.
as by defination it is "The "contention ratio" is the maximum number of other people you will have to share the connection infrastructure with." but people here are saying that i will get less speed not the full speed of 2Mbps. i am the single user of current BSNL and i don't use wireless router.i am not sharing it with anyone ,then why not i will not get the full speed.also on the other site "consumerforum " ,people are angry with reliance because they didn't refunded the money of (599+plan charge) even after 45 days because they rejected the application of BB .they stated the reason that the location is outside the max reach of the cable from EDP.why they didn't measure the distance before taking the installation money in the first place ??
BTW how reliance EDP looks like .

Contention ratios should not be relevant today because of the TRAI regulations. Even BSNL does not use this excuse for poor speeds. It's amazing that Reliance continues to use this excuse for crappy speeds on their networks.

What speed do you get with bsnl?
Normally it is 60-62 KBps (on 512kbps plan). 1 mbps upto 6GB FUP finishes in just two days by just watching youtube videos.

but sometimes speed goes down (10-15 kbps) .it corrects to its full speed after waiting for 1 days. last night i was getting speed of 210kbps which i think is a technical fault by bsnl as i was able to watch youtube videos on 360p without buffering and also i checked the speed on speedtest. but today it is showing as

i gets a lot of trouble from BSNL due to cable faults (link gone due to wind ,rain etc) .does this happens to reliance landline broadband.
