Try gettin in touch with Ilug of ur area, if u r in delhi then get in touch with ilugdelhi.org.Those guys will surely give u a clue
 
Yes I finally set it up :) I had missed the DNS Name server, so I asked sify customer care for it. I only had to wait for 15 mins on the phone which isnt that bad. BTW, yup surjeet, I am a member of the ilug-d lists . . . some sify users there too :)

Alternative client for Linux ? Frankly, I cant see anything wrong with their current Linux client ! What does this alternative client do ?
 
I myself have yet to use Sify on linux but i hear the official sify client for linux works for some and doesn't work for others and is known to crash every now and then.Any alternative client would probably address that issue.By the way you don't seem to have any problems with Sify on linux hawkeye. Which linux distribution do you use?

Using a fresh intall of Fedora Core 3. All of 2.2 Gigs of the 4 ISOs + rescue CD downloaded using the Night unlimited connection (guess it took me about 5 nights to finish ... approx 500 Megs per night)
