btw i got constant 512 kbps on my 256 kbps connection yesterday nite.... dunno if it was merely some of their problem

Sounds like a good sign. Sify is offering speeds of 512 kbps on their Sify Anywhere packs. So maybe they're planning to keep up with the other operators by soon testing and launching 512 kbps home packs

i would say its somewhat related to amish's ad filter or proxy thingy coz it just shows me the speedtest image here.

ahhhh... back to normal speeds!!in fact my net disconnected in middle of nite yesterday which usually never happens...but as of now back to normal speeds & i hate to expect somethin from sify at least in terms of good plans

Yes, Sify has really improved a lot.....am using the EY56 (Unlimited 256kbps) plan at present and I am quite happy with it......... will be really happy if they start offering 512 kbps or 1 mbps speeds, as their max speed, 256kbps, is their only negative point !
