Am on 849NU plan in Mumbai.
Never seen this issue happen recently,
But for almost a year now I have been using Treewalk on both Vista and XP
No Opendns or Other DNS servers for me.
Treewalk rocks

i ask again..........is it only happening to dsl 849nu users so far?
is it also only happening in mumbai or also delhi guys facing the same prob?

hey buddy, thought of changing your signature? Your posts are actually smaller than your sig. Atleast reduce the font of the text in the signature. We're not interested in knowing your rig's specs in each and every post.

thanx for the heads up. i hope this is better.
i reduced the font to 1 which was the lowest available.
anywayz, not to let this post go in waste....has anyone (other than skorpio1) got this unstability prob solved in their area?
has any mtnl babu replied back with an "official" reason for this prob.
i agree with what amish said regarding a particular gateway during a tracert that might be down.
i cant even judge my speeds with speedtest.net until the net becomes stable once again.
coz i wud like to be sure that after changing the telephone line, things havent got worse.
my adsl ratings seem to be optimum:
SNR Margin: 29 15
Line Attenuation: 21 10
Data Rate: 2048 512

but this is the best speed values ive got in days from speedtest: :(
https://www.speedtest.net

^ we meant get rid of the whole signature

Anyway,Ur looking at speedtest.net results.
Have u tried Downloading a Linux Distro or something and looking at DU meter results for eg?
I get 1.8mbps on DuMeter when i DL,but somehow speedtest.net figures at around the same time show that my max speed is 368kbps or something(I dont test my sped at the exact monent when DL is in progress, just a few secs after I have stopped all traffic on my Connection)

Also Singapore server gives very bad results for me,Infact Manama in The Arabian Gulf gets me the highest speeds on speednet.(Singapore 368kbps,Manama 1105kbps, DU meter 1.8mbps)

So basically I wanna say have u tried anything apart from speedtest.net?
Line stats are good and u have after all changed the line
May be TreewalkDNS will get rid of ur sites not opening issue
have u tried it?

i guess having my ipod info on a broadband forum is irrelevant, so ive removed it.but my system specs is very imp for troubleshooting purposes.anywayz, shud i be using an app to solve this unstability prob when many triband users r facing the same prob and its happening at the isp and is not pc related?also, i havent faced any specific page loading probs todaywhat about u guys (other than skorpio1 ofcourse) ?

damn.......it happened again today :mad:suddenly i cudnt access my hotmail inbox.and my msn messenger signed out and didnt sign back in but yahoo was opening fine at the same time so i didnt need to disconnect.what about u guys??
