@VinayakaSP had tried the above solution that you have provided, additionally reduced the transmitting power to 3/4 and still the problem persists, can anyone please tell if the big one has this problem or not, I am strongly considering surrendering this particular connection and getting a new one with the big square one!

@MountainMonkey5 I don't want to take credit for other's solution 😅 I got it from here: Jio fiber router getting slow over time? Restart fixes it. | Reliance JioFiber

No need to reduce the transmitting power. Switch IPv6 and keep only IPv4, and modify the DNS of IPv4. Give a restart and it should work. If it didn't work, I believe the router is aged and uncontrollable through configuration.

If you surrender your existing connection and get a new one, is it guaranteed that they will give a new model ONU?
Can you post a picture of your current router? Because what I have is also a big square one which is to be kept horizontal position.

This ONU, it is bad, often while playing games online on mobile phones it disconnects after 3-4 minutes reconnects then the cycle repeats, page loading, Whatsapp messages becomes slow, everything except downloading and speedtest takes time!

@MountainMonkey5 I have the same router as in your picture. I came across another model where it's like a tower (standing vertically). I guess that's the latest model.
But my question even if you get a new connection, then whether they will provide a new model router?
Because when I shifted home from one locality to another in the same city, the local Jio service guy suggested me to close exiting connection and getting new one rather relocation of existing. As later one takes time and getting a new one is instantaneous. I did the same thing and got a new connection at new home and surrendered the old home connection. During that transition I asked him what will happen to the router and STB I surrendered? He answered that will be sent back to Jio where it get refurbished and will be given to new connection.

So what if you get same old model of the router when you get new connection instead of new model
