Slumdog Millionaire (2008)

Tata Sky has probably hit the bulls eye by providing this movie at Rs 25. Many people (from comments over here) did subscribed for movie at 25, then they would have at 100 rate. They could have earned more with 25 rate then at 100. Smart tactics by TATASKY :happy:
 
Tata Sky was able to show it like that because the movie was produced by fox studios which is a sister company of sky.Good strategy by them to show it for 25 rupees.As for the movie its very good visually and well directed but is very overrated by everyone.Story is weak and the initial half was very rushed(they had to finish it in 2 hours because its a hollywood film).
 
@kopindian,I agree with u... The movie is overrated by people. But cant deny that it is a well directed film.
 
I think non-indian audiences would like it better as its more or less a true depiction of our slums.I think they could have made it better in hindi where you can afford it to be for 3 hours.In thecurrent version you don't get involved into the character much.Danny Boyle's sunshine is a better film than slumdog millionaire.
 
but other DTH concentrate in every language but TS concentrate only in hindi and now a days they also telecast some crap english movie:wall:

I totally agree with your statement...........there are many better films are made than Slumdog Millionaire in india............but still its a good movie and happy that AR Rehman and Kutty getting the Oscars.....

Its great that Rehman made a tamil statement stating "Ella Pugulum Erairvanuke..........." He made all the tamils and indians proud...........:thumb:
