iOS has some really awesome photo editing apps, a lot of which are yet to come to Android. If people really like Snapseed, they are going to fall in love with the likes of Hipstamatic.

They could have easily made a paid app out of it, what will Google gain by making it free app?

snapseed was a paid app on ios platform. 5 dollars. google acquired nik software and that's why snapseed is free on ios now. as for making money, it brings more visibility to google+ platform which has been a core focus area for them until now. in any case, android needed a good free powerful photo touching app.the app does not install on google nexus 7 from what i see on google+

Already got an update to the app.

Anyway this is what I could do after little editing and cropping with the trial image which came with the app.

When you get bored with normal images, you start tweaking them!

Really like this app.
Opened playstore after seeing this thread. Snapseed updated automatically. HDR feature example.

Vic did say that it would work better on landscape images. Would not work so well on portraits like above
Snapseed is too much for my ancient Galaxy Nexus so I stick with the toned down version in Google+ app.

Actually thats my fault. That image was from whatsapp so pretty shitty quality. It works well with portrait pics as well
