Its a decent phone at that price. But it doesn't look likely to get the ICS update.
Why? Now Samsung, LG, Sony has released roadmap for ICS roolout. I guess HTC should also be planning for ICS on its handset.

Updated it from 2.1 to 2.2 and it turned out to be a disaster.

Oh! No "HTC Salsa" there.
HTC Salsa cancelled
BTW does anybody have link to list about all models from leading brands like Samsung, HTC, LG, Sony, Motorola which would upgrade to ICS "officially".

Updated it from 2.1 to 2.2 and it turned out to be a disaster.
Root and flash CM7 (the best out there, unless you are a MIUI fan), or wait till a fully functional CM9 becomes available.
