Nah, i called up their CC today, and that guy told me "Under unlimited 99 plan, we offer wma/wmv formats of songs/videos, which are anti-piracy drm protected. If u want to listen to it on ur cellphone, then u will have to download it again on ur cell." Crap is the most lenient word i can use.

I think Reliance must have been the first to block it & the strictest! It is down since the day 1 when the news was spread & even today its down. But who cares!

considering reliance is a huge ass content company today, they have much to gain from such blocking. they finance movies and now they own tv18 network. they are pretty much one of the largest media giants of this country now.

songs.pk is a minor drop in the pirate sea !!! ril can continue to fool itself by patting its own back for blocking songs.pk. it makes no difference to those who want to take tht route.

But blocking the site, and blocking this site alone....i dont see any advantage gained by them thru this! Its another characteristic of human being - the more u try to stop, the more people will try to get there, and will get there!

not really. most people are comfortable with only one or two sources. i am talking about the people who are technically challenged. blocked individual sites can easily stop these people from downloading content from the web. techies who know about how to use torrents and use google to find newer sources of content? it is literally impossible to stop them.
