Sony Bravia (RIP)

3D, as was being discussed sometime back, is not worth investing at the moment. Its expensive, and u dont even know which technology is proven for best results. Lastly, it is trouble for ur eyes too, so after investing in 3D, all u can do is watch it may be 1-2 hours a day, thats if u spend extra for 3D gogs @ around 4-5k per person in ur home!!

This was the only reason I didn't went for 3D TV. Bcoz I already wear glasses. Watching TV alone makes me irritate with wearing glasses and Watching TV with double glasses :curse: . I simply can't do that. Also for taking such pain I don't find worth spending another 20K. And lets leave something to watch in theatres too :p

You are correct...the reason why i bought its just a futuristic move where in it costed me 42 K for both hDTV and 3D TV...

More over in India none of the channel are telecasting in Full HD mode itself...i believe the STB or HD content are delivered in 720 resolution content...

For full hd and 3D content with DTH i guess it will take atleast 3-4 years...

Even I was planning to go for TV like yours but more investigation lead me to bigger investment. But truth is that we both would be watching and enjoying similar kind of quality ;)

Regarding Full HD, Yes in India 8 Channels are 100% HD(1080p) and 5 are HD (720p) Rest all are upscaled HD.

List of 100% HD Channels:

Discovery HD World
ESPN HD
National Geographic HD
Star cricket HD
Star Gold HD
Star Movies HD
Star World HD
Travel XP HD

List of HD Channels:

DD HD
Movies Now
Star Plus HD
Ten Cricket HD
Zee Tv HD
Zee Cinema HD

Sorry Dude, but i actually donno how to check refresh rate, but never experienced ghost effect which I used to experience in my previous TV.

Googling says its refresh rate is 60 Hz.

Could you guys tell me whats the meaning of Ghost Effect in TV...

As per my knowledge, during high speed moving scenes like football match or car racing a trail image comes wrt original object .
