Sony Camera Battery model np-fm50

My digital camera is pretty old. It is sort of giving major issues. I assume that the battery has gone bad considering the one I am using is the one shipped with the camera.

Battery model number is: np-fm50

I am looking for a reliable online store which would deliver a new battery to my place. I can get it from eBay but if a local store can deliver it to me at a decent price, I would prefer to go for it for faster delivery!

What is the age of your camera ? . If it is too old , get a new camera instead of purchasing new battery .

this is what my camera looks like.

this is not a disposable piece of equipment. unless of course it goes bad.

when i purchased it, it cost me close to around 1300 dollars. of course, i can buy something much better in a lower price today.

but if only the battery has gone bad, i had prefer to try out with a new battery first!

the ebay guy says that the shipment can take up to 20 days. not sure if i should go through him.

his price is much higher than the prices i am seeing on american sites. of course shipping from usa would add to the cost and it is likely to end up costing the same.

i guess i would pay for the battery from the ebay link mentioned in the first post if no one has an alternative for me!
