@amish

Yep, website mentioned in OP advises to not submerge the phone, whereas specs say 1.5m, which is easily equivalent to submerging the phone.

1.5m is very small height!

So basically you can not take it in swimming pool or deeper in sea.

You have to be careful in Mumbai in rainy season when there are places where water level can go above 1m!

What about rain itself?

Rain falling from high sky would probably have more pressure than pressure by still water at 1.5m.

So you probably can not hold your phone out in rain. or Can you??

^^^ You should probably buy a industrial grade mobile phone which is not only resistant to water, but also for Acidic liquids, oils, extreme heat and dust as well :D
I would personally not try to test extreme water depth with my mobile even if it is certified, because I dont think I will even go into deep waters in my life :)
In rain as well I keep my mobile in plastic cover and do not take it out if its raining heavily. For small rain, if somebody calls, I may take call.

No what I mean is with so many restrictions - aqua mobile don't really make sense, its equivalent to not being waterproof.

Because if you are going to purchase it because its waterproof - and you be slightly careless - it will immediately void warranty!

Because they will simply say you went below 1.5m!!

So max you can do is wash it under tap water.
