Well, I've suffered a lot for buying device after some months of launch. Thought to take a plunge and buy a device that's launched very recently.It's the OS updates that I was bothered with for above purchases. Now that it's a Nexus, I'm sure that won't be the case.

HTC quoted 12K to replace the display on One X. The phone cost was 35K. I am not sure if Sony could be more expensive

3K for display change in Sony ericsson W705 which is a 2009 release java phone

sure sony cant be more expensive than HTC !!

Sony spares can be expensive, it is i guess because the company likes to maintain exclusivity.

What about after sale service?
Can anyone using Sony devices tell me about their after sales.
On the software end, they have been improving a lot lately. Trying to get the latest android on all their new xperia line up. Hopefully this trend will continue.

As for service centres, it varies from city to city. Usually they provide great service.
