so which should i watch? Gods of the Arena or Vengeance? :P

Watch in this order so that story line will follow perfect chronology

Gods of the Arena is also good. It should be watched too. Certain characters (a story arc) which feature in Vengeance starts in Gods of the Arena.

In a related news, Starz is pulling the plug on Spartacus after the upcoming third season.

The final chapter, to be titled Spartacus: War of the Damned, will air in January 2013.

War of the Damned will center on the final battle between Spartacus and Marcus Crassus.
 
yep what he ^ said , Vengeance won't make any sense if you skip Gods of arena , which i personally think was the best of all 3 seasons. and lol sword play, blood and gore and soft core porn wtf do you need more in a t.v series :P
 
Gods of Arena is critical to watch character developments of Crixus,Gannicus,Doctore, Basically every character except spartacus

Yeah they are nowhere near. And they will never be. Money constraints will always come in the way. 300 was just two hour movie while here they have to produce 10 hours of content every year. Even Game of Thrones did cost cutting when they shot entire battle of Black Water in night. Anyways there's a thing which I don't understand is that why are they killing girls? First Sura then Aurelia then Seppia then Mira then Lucretia..I mean there is no specific book to follow. Why kill such sexy girls? :D
 

lol. i get annoyed that they develop a likeable character and then kill it. at least they got rid of Gaius Claudius Glaber and Ashur. i was afraid that they would not kill Ashur at all. Ashur is the Joffrey Baratheon of Spartacus. the character you just hate.
 
Yeah. They do that often. Oenomaus is dead. :( I also hated Illithiya at times when she manipulated magistrate's son to kill Varro by Spartacus's own hand.
