Don’t believe the media statements from airtel. They will buy 700Mhz spectrum or Jio will destroy Airtel - they will be out of the game.

Now that the base price is almost half of what it was 4 years ago, they would be stupid not to go for this band.

Mostly they would go for renewing the license and some minor spectrum purchase. Seems like no one wants to go for 700Mhz or lower end spectrum. Is it due to high base price by the govt this time too?

Interestingly all spectrum that was sold, went at base price only, as the demand did not exceed the availability in any circle in any band in all 4 rounds.
