mmwave will not be released by the next 5g auction do they?, so we have to wait for few years i guess for the mmwave to get deployed

Actually, everyone wants all bands ready, including mmWave. These should be the bands available in the upcoming 5G auctions according to Esmail from OnlyTech

n78, n257 and n258

They could lower the price of band b28/n28 and put it up in the auctions so eventually all 3 operators would buy 10MHz at base price. (There's just 30MHz available)

If jio choosen B41 instead of B40 from beginning itself means it will be game changer. N41 5G band is more popular than N40. They could have launched 5G now itself.

They use different backbones for idea and vodafone it seems, idea had used tata backbone when i checked about 2 months ago but vodafone uses vodafone UK or something. very weird considering both are the same network now

@Nithishsaba I accidently found out a way to select the routing either from Idea or Vodafone.I had an iPhone so when the apn was iphone i used to get ip address of Vodafone India when i switched the apn to www i got ip address of Idea Cellular which had shit routing my warp was also selecting MRS as colocation centre while i was using apn as www . You can set your apn to iphone even if you have an android phone try and tell if something changed or not.

@Nithishsaba check on whatismyip then you will see the ip address and provider changes to idea when apn is www when you speed test in idea it will show as Vodafone Idea while when apn is iPhone then only Vodafone

@Gaurav_add I tried every possible APN setting, i was getting a vodafone IP but the ping is 200ms for all non vodafone servers, it seems there is a problem with their core network in TN

New 5G bands should be announced soon. We could get more spectrum in the sub6 GHz spectrum too.

DoT set to earmark more bands for 5G under updated spectrum allocation plan

Indias telecom regulator has currently only earmarked mid-band spectrum in the 3.3-3.6 Ghz bands for 5G services. Both millimeter wave and mid-band 5G airwaves are with the DoS and defence ministry.
