Well i feel sad for bsnl/mtnl now , I guess the govt should have taken some initiatives so that they can participate in the auction. Atleast they were able to buy some spectrum, they will able to retain/add customers in the rural areas.

BSNL & MTNL should stick with FTTx/Wireless internet services and ditch 2G/3G/4G altogether.
I think 4G is sufficient for BSNL with usable speeds consistently in future

30 days after down payment and bank guarantee and then it's up to telecom operators they can deploy it overnight or as they want (selective approch), jio will most probably deploy it overnight after getting the spectrum from DOT.

In TN, need to wait till september end for B3 and B5 deployment I think because after expiration of spectrum with previous owner only new owner gets the spectrum... B40, B1 are immediately allocated and B8 is instantly given if bidder already has that before...
So airtel, VIL will get B8 quickly and jio will get B40 quickly..
Airtel has one advantage i.e their remaining 1.2Mhz is will come till expiry date so they can simultaneously run 2G with 1.2Mhz for first few months after that they need to figure out whether they need to continue 2G or not.
