@RKhan21 Jio should enable AMBR on 4G as 600Mbps and 5G as the same, or 800Mbps and let everyone compete with both networks, sees who gets more speed on DSS xD

@Lucifer96 but both 5G and 4G will be using b3 10MHz, b5 10MHz and b40 40MHz in 4CA. DSS is dynamic spectrum sharing, where the 4G bands are shared with 5G. Jio will be enabling all current 4G bands on the 5G network in September, and when the auctions are held, Jio will buy 100MHz(probably) of b78, and then add it to the enabled 5G network after a month or two. But from September to Dec, there'll only be DSS version of 5G.

@JamesHolden25 it's not eastto Enable DSS on all 3 bands. Already their 4G is chocked to 0.5Mbps in most places with DSS it will be 0. Remember DSS 10MHz is equal to 4MHz. U will get maximum 30Mbps in a 10MHz DSS on both 4G and 5G

So it's better that just 4G 10MHz could do 75Mbps easily

Either 4G or 5G will use more spectrum. It depends on Configurations. Also still there's no CA on 5G yet like FDD-TDD so DSS with Single band 5G is fake 5G just for icon in the status bar in reality it will be slower than a 4G

I had a look at a youtube vid for DSS. So it finds out which generation is using more bandwidth. So Jio will probably use only 20MHz of B40 in this case until the 5G auctions take place. That sucks tho. Hopefully Jio disables DSS when they obtained a fat enough chunk of b78 in the auctions.

Yes DSS on 20MHz is Better. I think Airtel and Jio will start 5G in 20MHz Blocks B3/B40 and VIL on B41
