What u said is absolutley correct in the case of rural areas. But in metropolitan cites and urban areas the scenario is different right, there are lots of high rise commercial buildings where the operators can easily deploy. Small cells, micro sites etc , also its easier for them to get permission from the owners in this case. Here if the antennas are not properly optimized then there can be issues of overlap etc and it can seriously affect the speeds as the congestion is higher in urban areasIn India, with the ever present right of way issue, would it ever be possible to achieve this?
Every person in my village believes a telecom tower is harmful. Telecom companies are not allowed to set up towers in low-lying paddy field or marshland due to environmental laws. So now where will they set up? If by chance, they get some plot/land to buy, it usually next to one house at least. So then the best they can do in that situation is keep base power levels within acceptable limits and compromise on range/speed...
It'll never be "optimized". There'll always be some trade off(s).
