If they enable 40C you will not get any improvement in speeds as all the 4g smartphones have 40C enabled by default because of that everyone will consume twice the bandwith and so your speed will become twice since you are getting 1.8 mbps after spectrum addition before that spectrum addition you must be getting around 0.9 mbps or more as with time users on jio network might have increased.

Yes thats why they are turing off CA on B40 in many places.They don,t want to do B40C to avoid network choking.

are you getting 3ca with jio on b3 10mhz+b40+b40 now

all combos are working.But real fact is that 3CA combos in jio just stays for some time then switches to B40 so basically 3CA is of no use in Jio network for me

You can switch on airplane mode and the turn it off it enables b5 with 3CA for me if you have to do downloads or streaming use this trick if your phone remains idle then they switch it to band 40.

They should enable b40 A only 10 percent of phones support that but I think after a year they will switch that off to as a lot of newer budget,midrange phones are coming with that combination enabled from default.

Already tried those tricks even after that it switches to B40 automatically.B40 in jio is set at Reselection priority of 7 which is highest thats what making phones(UE) to switch to B40.It can,t change until and unless jio sets same reselection priority for all bands but again they won,t do that as its bad from network point of view.

@ak8757 First you will get band 5 just start downloading streaming immediately it starts and reamains there till you are utilising the whole speed when it gets completed then it will again switch to b40. This trick works on every phone I used and all the areas I went to.

@Nithishsaba can u check Airtel's and Jio's B3 EARFCN?

Airtel's EARFCN is 1540, was unable to check for jio. will check and update tomorrow.
I dont think airtel's EARFCH has changed.

i know that Airplane mode gives B5 or B3 and 3CA does not start.But even if DL started it just delays its switch over to B40 by some secs after that it any way switches to B40 even if DL is still going on.These are old things which i have done in 2018 itself.I even tried to do earfcn lock to stay on 3CA on Jio even that trick did not work.In short if i say just 5+3 combo can only be controlled (By disabling B40 in band lock).No other combo you can be controlled in Jio.
