I am giving myself the same advice :)
but it doesn't explain the max 1.45mbps exact. Why does it never touch 1.6 or some other number?
There could be a possibility of speed capping at tower level due to high number of users.

There is no official word on capping... I am getting constant speeds of 3.8 MBPS and max 4 MBPS in chennai (roaming)... that is too on torrents...

see below downspeed in below image both in mobile parner and torrent client

touched a new high my friends.....I got about 5.0 Mbps at 3 a.m. today.....jus lasted for 9-10 seconds...but still 5mbps :)
speaking of which...i think BSNL roaming users are getting good speeds....so they are being allocated speeds of 7.2 mbps bandwidth....i guess...instead of MTNL's 3.6Mbps

And for my modem....man its one heck of a modem....
Micromax MMX352G is a good modem...this my review....
*NO HEATING PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER....IT DOESNT HEAT AT ALL....
*BACKWARD CAPABILITY TO EDGE
*NO COVERAGE PROBLEMS(SIGNAL STRENGTH)
overall its a good modem.....i saw huwaei guys having lot of trouble :/

@onesboy
got any invi..for trackers..??
i need one...if u have PM me...we will talk about it...Anyone whose having a invi...or is willing to give details of a tracker...please PM me...i need one...or two :)

----------

connect using mdma or mobile partner ; how many signal strength u have mostly ?
Those things are for Huwaei modems.....i checked..its not working with my Modem :/

Hi..I am too in chennai..(bsnl roaming)

speeds are awesome.. BUT THERE IS NO DISCONNECTION AT all what ever the speed.. I put torren for download, contineously without break..it download almost 19 GB now...

and speeds are constant 4.5 MBPs some itmes it touches 7 MBPS.... (currently i am getting constant 4 mbps + even though my signal strength is just 50 %)

Note: Always asses your speeds via internet download manager or Mobile partnet as it will most close to accurate values... speedtest or all other test websites may not assure actual values....
what you see in download managers are real speed provided by ISP's

Good to know about your connection speeds. Here I am referring to MTNL Delhi only.

There is no official word on capping... I am getting constant speeds of 3.8 MBPS and max 4 MBPS in chennai (roaming)... that is too on torrents...

see below downspeed in below image both in mobile parner and torrent client

These months I can get upto 1.45mbps max, earlier it was 2.9mbps. :(
This is exactly half of the previous max speed, what else could be the reason other than capping?

yup speeds have dropped fr me too..was able to do 3MBps when I 1st got the SIM 10 days back here in Delhi now its not going more than 1MBps..

I'm still getting between 1-3 mbps depending on the time of the day. During the day it'll be around 1mbps and during the nights it's easily over 2.5 mbps.

Well then i started this thread for a good cause i guess.... :/Report all your speed issues here...Will discuss it here :D@ananthave you tried taking it to different places...like less crowded areas... :/@ALL Mumbai usersAre you going through the same problems as Delhi MTNL is having...??There might be a speed CAP i guess :/

VolcanoeMicromax MMX 352 (7.2 mbps) - you got it in the open market (factory unlocked)or unlocked after getting from Airtel or Aircel. Both Airtel and Aircel now dropping Huawei modems and selling locked Micromax 3.6 and 7.2 modems I heard.

got it unlocked by myself......It came with my BSNL 3G....are you planning to buy micromax modem...??

Not immediately .I have a Aircel Distributor Rep freind from whom I bought Huawei E1750c@ rs 1400 with 3 GB free. After unlocking mine I helped him to unlock 2-3 pc's he sold to others.I can get a free demo 3G sim from him once in a while!:Freaky:.He was mentioning that Huawei /ZTE stocks are out and getting Micromax 310/320/352G like that . How did you unlock 352G? Could you share! If MMX352G has solid performance,I might recommend to my freinds here (Pre paid with 3GB free offer from Aircel)Does micromax has 21MBps stick? right now Huawei 1831G is ruling the roost(as it covers all bands) and E353 though latst modem no takers. (price down from rs 4000 to 1950 because it works only in 2100 mhz)
