Have to buy a split ac for lobby. Would like to have Alexa support this time around. Was wondering if anyone here has purchased a wifi enabled model in recent times and how was the experience.

Solution
we got first floor and half of second floor built 4-5 years ago. at the time dad got all ac outside units moved to the roof so all piping were laid by the daikin guys in the outside wall (inside the wall cemented so replacing it is not really an option without breaking the wall again). dad said that same piping was used for all ACs. 4 ACs were installed on the first floor (2 of them have pipes going to the roof along with 2 on the ground floor). all purchased from the same daikin guys. so if r32 was used in daikin acs 4-5 years ago, the piping should be the same for the ground floor acs as well. i mean are the pipes different in design or material or thickness that one can check before buying the ac?

Update: Ended up buying Daikin...
How much is the max consumption mentioned on the label? I am assuming the ac would be coming from a very high temperature range 40C+ to 29C which means it has lots of work to do. Besides, is your ODU sitting under direct sunlight?

There would be lot of variables involved here. Daytime
Its a rooftop room with top and 2 sides with sunlight with size of 120sq ft.

ODU is in shade. So i think roof is the issue.
Rated amperes on AC written in manual is 4.8 amps and max consumption 980w.

Yes temperature outside is 41C. It takes 30-45 mins and sometimes even 1 to 1hr 30mins to reach 29C with high pitch noise coming from compressor and consuming 2000w. Once it reaches then noise disappears.
There is only one bend and that is also not that much. So no chance of pinch.

@igloo how is your experience with Marq brand in terms of performance and service ?
I have used installation service only till now from jeeves. Installation was professionally done with full compressor suction and pressure testing though all outsourced & no one came or called for first free service. But it was due in lockdown of 2020 so i can't blame them.
Performance wise AC is very silent. Can't find much diff between this n ogeneral(even I was surprised) that was installed before.
Feels super chilly even at 25deg. Though a lot depends on room too.

@igloo Any particular reason for buying a Marq product?
I had ogeneral in same place before this. After a gas leak you are on your own, not a single ac co. or engineer guarantees zero gas leak for atleast 12 months after their so called leak detection.
So nowadays after 1st gas refill I mostly go for replacement so thought why not try this. Plus power savings on most new inverter ac make it worth .... specially bedroom ACs which run for 12-16 hours a day in long Delhi summer.

Clearly it's a case of undersized ac. Under normal scenario 1 to 1.2 ton would have been sufficient for that area, but in your case you have 3 sides facing the sun so definitely you would need to go for 1.5 ton or higher.
The heat from all the three sides are making it difficult for the compressor to reach the set temps hence it takes longer time., higher pitch sound.
Nevertheless, for heat in excess of 40C, I would suggest to go for those Japanese brands since LG's newer models are designed towards power saving than their older inv models.
