India to get ethanol-blended petrol from November 1
The Indian government has now given its go ahead to allow sale of ethanol-blended petrol throughout the country from November this year.

hmm... manufacturing wise price will reduce. . but if they name it like "performane petrol" ... thn price will be higher.
 
40 liters last for like 10 days for me.anyways. if onion prices can lead to BJP government falling in Delhi, a 10 rupee hike in petrol would remove congress from the face of the earth. maximum price hike can be around 5 rupees that too would create a big nuisance for the central government.the sad thing is that petrol remains expensive compared to diesel. hikes in petrol are usually more than on diesel. yet, its the richer people who buy diesel cars. middle class continues to drive their scooters, bikes, marutis (petrol ones!)... a dude driving a ford fiesta diesel pays less per kilometer compared to a dude driving a maruti 800.of course this is because commercial vehicles are mostly based on diesel as the fuel. the government needs to find out a way to allow commercial vehicles to get diesel at lower prices compared to regular owners of diesel cars. :whistle:
 
it wont be effected atleast for an year ! that is what the Congress people have told to the media ! Election will effect if they hike again ! So there wont be any hike atleast for few months!i too thought of filling and keeping some stock ! But later AICC persons told to media that it is not going to happen soon !!
 
It should happen. But it won't. Don't commit 'suicide', Karat says; and the Congress will obey.
 
if no price hike then oil cos like bpcl, hpcl & ioc will be killed with the oil at $135/barrel
