Why would one need to record anything on HD as of now, NGC & Discovery HD keeps on repeating the same programs.

Because HD is an added attraction to Tata Sky Plus. Whoever has owned TS+ before knows that you JUST cannot watch normal TV again. It's THAT convenient. You don't get to record just the HD channels. The other SD channels can also be paused, rewound and watched again. And stored. The convenience of TS HD + will be unmatched. Really waiting for it.Will switch all boxes to TS HD + if there is a good offer for the same.

You are absolutely right. Once we get the habit of watching in a PVR, you cannot watch normal TV.
