Stupid and cheap Bluetooth Dongle

I have this stupid chinese bluetooth dongle, which came with a drivers CD for Windows only. How do I get it to work in Linux (PCLinuxOS specifically)?

Orchid dongles...i bought it for 150/- around 8 months back from nehru place...may be cheaper now...works great...never let me down yet!

whats the make of the dongle ..and did it work out of the box on linux ?

well, as I said, the make is not indicated anywhere on the dongle. Its simple plain black with a green LED. On connecting in linux, lsusb output shows it as "Roper Class 2 Bluetooth Device"I installed latest bluez package, (meaning the latest available 2 years ago!) and installed kdebluetooth and it just worked!

Just for info, this time when I installed PCLOS, I just installed KBluetooth from synaptic, and all dependencies, and the stupid dongle worked!Those who were asking me about the brand, I don't know. It's a blue colored dongle, and it has "Bluetooth" written on it with the official bluetooth logo.
