i need a rightly priced but good pen drive , should serve me as long as possible , main use will be watching movies on it by connecting to my smart 40" samsung tv .
and what is difference between flash drive and normal pen drive?

ok , so i am confused after ordering the 16 gb one
i can get a 32 gb SanDisk cruzer for 1100 or so , should i be buying the 16 gb transcend or sandisk 32 gb which has slow data ransfer rate ? is 32 gb is likely to be more prone to be dead sooner as its higher capacity ?
please advise

don't worry man. what you bought is awesome stuff. Pen drives don't die that fast randomly. (AFAIK, personal exp.)

i just opened the pen drive and it still has same slow data transfer into it just under 10 mbps, and i am ofcourse on 2.0 usb on my pc and pen drive is 3.0
also i have copied some videos already ,and now realise that 4gb+ files will not be transfered unless i change file system, that would corrupt current files ?
how do i change file system in most proper manner ? without corrupting files on it?

Is that port in your system blue? If it is then its USB 3.0 otherwise 2.0..Data transfer speed also depends on the type, size, bundle etc of selected file/folder. Transferring data is the process of read n write ,so if you have a single file of 4gb it move or copy faster than another folder of same size or even little less, have number of different kind of files....Again moving a file/folder is faster than copying same....

just did it
this ntfs system is weird , it starts with very high transfer rate but keeps on going down and down , last 1-10 mb take more than 1 minutes , is it like this for all??
