suggestions required to buy a LCD tv

Hi guys

am planning to buys an LCD tv for my room ,My purpose will be watching movies and football with DTH connection And my viewing distance will be between 5 feet to 7 feet , so first of all i need ur suggestion regarding the size of LCD tv , whether 26'' or 32'' .

my personal preference is Sony , and i shortlisted one is 26EX300

ur suggestions are most welcome

well for u r viewing distance 26'' is ok.about brands check out samsung and LG.

well thank u for ur replybut my concern is if my viewing distance is 7-8 feet and if i use 26 inch , whether it is not fit..?

If budget isn't a constraint and the viewing distance is more than 6ft, I would suggest to go for a 32". Sports and games look better on bigger screens. And do check out Samsung. Sony is not the only option available. Samsung's pieces are as good, if not better, and excellently priced.

in 32inch full HD option seems to be costly , what about going for HD ready TV...
what makes the difference in HD ready and full HD in normal DTH connection...?

If your source is primarily DTH, HD ready is good enough.

You can go with LG.They have cheap 32" Full HD Screens in Jazz Series.

LG is cheap, but the picture quality isn't as good as that on the Samsung or Sony.
