System Time is not updating

I have windows XP home edition licence copy. The time of my computer watch is not updating. I can change the date and time manually but its not updating automatically. My motherboard is Mercury make Intel 865 chipset.Please give solution for this problem.

I think your motherboard battery has expired.buy a new one.it costs around Rs. 30.

I have already changed the battery. But the problem is not solved. :wall:

CMOS date and time not set

but its not updating automatically.
means the time website is not being accessed. check properties/internet time: for the web site selected & the settings.

the website is inbuilt in windows xp its time.windows.com

time.windows.com also doesnt work for me. For me time.nist.gov works............so try that

another solution u can try:go to Start Menu-> Run-> type "services.msc"find "windows Time" and enable it if it is disabled. see if this works!
