Raavan’s jinx continues with a tragedy

Raavan, the much-hyped film directed by Mani Ratnam, is now being shot in the forest area in Chalakudy in Kerala. The entire team, including Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan, have been camping there for a couple of weeks. The film has already been delayed over a couple of months due to several unfortunate incidences.

Ajith's Asal transcends borders

More and more south Indian films will be released in Russia following the agreement entered into between the Indo-Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industries and the Russian Union of Cinematography. An Indo Russian meeting is scheduled to be held in Chennai in December wherein the delegates from Russia will be offered the rights of Tamil films to be dubbed or remade in Russian. Further, Tamil films are also expected to be released in Russia and it could begin with Ajith’s Asal.

In a press statement, he stated that his identity in the cyberspace has been stolen by a stranger who is using his name to contact and interact with his fans.

Cheran on his misunderstanding with Kamal

Cheran, as like most of the other budding artistes, was inspired by Kamal Haasan’s acting which paved way for his entry into Kollywood. The actor-director revealed this at the inaugural function hosted by Vijay TV to celebrate Kamal’s 50th year in the tinsel town. A grand event to felicitate the actor will be held next month.

Speaking at the function, Cheran said that when he came to Kollywood to make it big in the film industry, he joined Kamal who was then working in Mahanadi. However, Cheran, along with four other assistants, decided to quit the project opposing Kamal’s contention on certain issues. After a decade and half and directing about eight films, Cheran says that he now realizes what Kamal meant.

Sarath wants Dr. Kamal Haasan Road in Chennai

The Nadigar Sangam President Sarath Kumar said that the film stars would initiate the move to rename the Eldams Road as Dr. Kamal Haasan Road. According to Sarath, renaming the road, in which the star has been living for years, is the apt way of felicitating him on his Golden Jubilee year in Kollywood.

Sarath Kumar added that the Nadigar Sangam will petition the state government and the Tamil Nadu chief minister M Karunanidhi to do the needful.

I have received a forwarded email today which i would like to share with you guys.......Kamal’s Instinct1) In 1978, Kamal's tamil movie "Sivappu Rojakal" was released.He played the role of a Psychopath killer (femicide). A year later, aguy named "Psycho Raman" was caught for brutally murdering peopleespecially women.2) In 1988, Kamal played the role of an unemployed youth in themovie "Sathya". In 89-90's our country faced lot of problems due tounemployment.3) In 1992, his blockbuster movie "Devar Magan" was released.It’s a village based subject. The movie portrayed scenes of communalclashes. Exactly a year later in 1993, there were many communalclashes in southern districts.4) We all know in 1996 many people in our country was cheated byfinance companies. Kamal Hassan had clearly depicted this in his movie"Mahanadhi" which was released in 1994, well a year in advance.5) In "Hey Ram"(2000), there are few scenes relating to HinduMuslim clashes. After 3 months of release of the movie, the NOIDAserial killing came to light (Moninder & Sathish)8) In his latest movie "Dasavatharam" in 2008 he mentioned abouta deadly virus, which spread via air, that may destroy the world. Nowin 2009 we have the Swine Flu that spreads through air. And to bespecific, in the movie Kamal develops a bio weapon and finds out thedeadly effect of the virus in a lab in America. Now the first case ofSwine Flu was detected in Mexico (America). WHAT DO U CALL THIS -----“A COINCIDENCE”?

If that comes true..........the credit should to the A Wenesday Team Unit..........but we can also say that only after Kamal's venture on that movie........the incident came true......:whistle:
